Overview of Idea

Remember learning about the food pyramid, washing your hands, or first aid? Many people in rural Ecuador never learn basic healthcare practices like these. By hosting free, health education workshops we can train and film the stories of participants, then share them to increase overall rural health.

The Specifics: What will the $3,000 fund?

We will use these stories to teach rural communities about the importance of basic nutrition, water purification, first aid, and preventative healthcare, and to train more community health promoters.

$3000 will cover the costs of:

• Transportation for workshop participants,
• A hands-free camcorder/tripod/microphone for filming,
• A small stipend for a film student to record and edit the stories, and
• Several portable, battery-operated projectors for easy sharing.

Basic health education is essential to creating sustainable healthcare solutions in rural and developing communities. Help us to train health promoters and share their stories with rural villages throughout Ecuador. VOTE FOR TIMMY GLOBAL HEALTH today!
